The Miniature World of Trains in Greenville, SC will be the largest model railroad in the world with plans for growth and new displays over the next 10 years. MWOTwill have very large visitor counts from not only the local area, but from the region, USA and around the world. Similar displays around the world generate some 1.2 million visitors each year.

To be a part of this unique establishment with international recognition is a challenge. We will be developing and displaying the most innovative model railroad attraction in the world. It will be an attraction constantly changing, growing and evolving each day, week, month and year. There will not me room for outmoded images of model railways at this location, now or as we move forward. At MWOTyou work as part of a great team  together with colleagues who pride themselves to work with a service based, technologically adept and creative attitude. This special challenge is waiting for YOU!
People often ask us “How can I become part of the Miniature World of Trains

It is not as hard, as one might think. Check out our job list below for the vacant positions.

You can join as a volunteer or as a paid employee. Full time, part time and even one day a week. And you do not have live in Greenville, SC to volunteer or work for MWOT
For example, we need qualified model builders to help create "our world in miniature"™.

Mini Jobs and Student Jobs, we offer different types of jobs in almost all departments of the Miniature World Of Trains. There are for instance great mini job opportunities for students in the retail shops, ticketing and customer service, model building, construction and much more. We are also often looking for project related support in the technological and creative departments and we will work with local schools on mini projects we will have.

We are often asked about vacancies for job training. Professional job training is very important for young people and we feel a responsibility to support these young people in finding their perfect profession. Many different trades can be carried out at MWOT. Electronic technicians, precision engineers, mechatronics technicians, model builders, model building mechanics technicians, carpenters, trained retailers, trained catering personnel…. And apart from that you find several technicians, business economists, computer specialists, and many more!

Job training for an occupational profile requires a very broad knowledge on the subject. It should be part of any professional job training to provide the trainee with marketable knowledge and extended skills as a basic qualification for further professional experience.

The applied skills in Wunderland are very detailed in some trades and often are dictated by the current status of theme worlds under construction. More often not all basic skills required for professional job training are being covered in necessary depth. This is the reason why we have so far decided to only offer a small choice of job trainings.

Should you bring along the requested skills, we are looking forward to receiving your application.
Please tell us why you think you are the right person for the job on offer. Please note that you should be able to speak English fluently. Other languages are helpful but not a requirement.
